Test Their Strength with Force Gauge

The Why

At NYTO we are establishing a strong engineering culture. For a product to scale it must be refined as much as possible. That’s why we’ve gone as far as to test what kind of pilot holes in 3D printed material hold pressed rivets the best. This was done first by modeling a series of variations in hole size, printing the part, then applying rivets, then pulling out each one with a force gauge and noting its holding strength. NYTO uses rivets to apply many of its hinges to many of its product lines. They are robust and cost effective. Swipe through the gallery below to see our process.
